Couldn't ask for a better wine to end my involuntary 2-months streak of no wines. Chardy muscate from old vines planted on gray marl, bought and spun into gold by the Ganevat's after aging on lees for 30 months. Straight out of the gates, it was like sipping on lemon drops and slurping on oysters by the sea. As nice as that was, it was the days after that the wine truly shone. Candied tangerine, ripe stone fruits, lemon zest, baked goods, brioche, toasted almonds, white florals, and a touch of smoke. Long finish driven by fine acidity and chalky minerality. Drank like a great champagne without bubbles. It's a one on the binary scale!
