California Sauvignon Blanc

Apple, pear and lime...zest on the way out.

Crisp, enjoyable wine. Bought at TAC for ¥2,150.

Sharp acidity, very fruit forward

I don't normally drink white. I have no basis of comparison. I used it to make Salmon Piccatta, it was delicious. I drank the rest. I am now buzzed.

What a pleasing mid-week wine.

Plenty of pears on the nose. Maybe a bit of citrus peel. Flavor is also pears. Like a ripe Bartlett pear. Smooth and fuller. Nice balance. Has the bitterness and bite to finish. A bit riper than my favorite Sauv Blancs, but it’s a nice CA white for outdoor bar-b-ques and pool parties.
