Yeah, I bought 2 Joel Gott wines today. I guess I'm reliving some of the wines I liked when I first got into wine.
This is just fine! Inexpensive and chuggable, if I'm not careful. Citrus, green apple, pineapple, melon.. you're supposed to say "grass and gooseberry" when you drink SB, but I've never tasted a gooseberry. Not very grassy, either. Doing this with Thai spring rolls, and it's great.

A beautiful aromatic California bold Zinfandel — 9 months ago
Not what I ordered (the server messed up), but it was perfect with the cassoulet. I’d happily order it again. — a month ago
Raspberry, sweet plum, mild tannins, low acidity and spice. The softer side of Zinfandel, in part due to 40% new oak. Should age well. — 4 months ago
Touch Brettanomyces, aka horses ass but otherwise flawless and very tasty. 13.5%. Comes across as a red Burgh. NSG. Inky and dark. Tannins fully resolved. Velvety, Blackberry, dark 🍒. Leather. — 8 months ago

Jo loved it at bulldog east — 6 months ago
A 25 year old gem pulled by Joel Peterson himself. I was one of the lucky ones to snag a mixed case of his cellar selections from 1991-2013 for BD16. Still going strong with such incredibile fruit. Gonna share them of course but sneak a Coravin taste here and there … — a year ago
