Considering its age, this ’99 Prüm Auslese was incredibly fresh and rather elegant for a middle Mosel. Granted, it was not a Goldkapsel wine, which would definitely have been much sweeter, but many ‘99s can lack structure and seem top-heavy or flabby. Not this lovely bottle. Drinks like an opulent Spätlese with perfect balance…a perfect match with spicy Asian cuisine.

Nov 21st, 2016'99 Mosels have retained their innate elegance and finesse despite a very ripe vintage, and have turned out to be classics that will keep on going and going as long as you don't run out--HOW SAD😞
