I’m revisiting this 8 months later. Still a good value for Napa Cabs from this vintage. I tasted strawberry pie crust and some cranberries. The nose was a little more pronounced than before with some oak tones. I am downgrading it just a point mainly because I’ve had some other cabs in between which moved this one down just a bit in absolute terms.

Waiting for it to open up a bit. Right off, super quiet and underspoken for a “big cab”. Much oak and grape jelly in the beginning.

Very smooth, prepared with a nice seasoned steak.. it went very well. I found it at $29.99 not sure what others are seeing it at.

The wine making skills of Aaron Pott is what makes this wine shine. Making the most of the fruit one is given to work with.

Consumed 7/2/18. Better after it opened up a bit. Great w blue cheese. Needs more depth. Light oak. Berries.

Surprisingly light bodied, but still crisp and well structured. Cherries, strawberries and hint of vanilla. It seemed to lead with the vanilla and spice which is less common- to me at least. A good example of this great vintage, especially considering the $20 price at Trader Joe’s.

Ehh it was 22 buck and frankly good, just not great, with Oakville on the back expected more body, seems thinned out and the Napa call out seems then appropriate. Also a 2014 vintage...man what did the blend this with....
