Saturday night and tonight's wine is the 2015 Joseph Drouhin Gevrey-Chambetin Pinot Noir. This wine has 20-30% of their Premier Cru in the blend.

On the nose there is strawberry, cherry, raspberry, clove, hibiscus, cola and wet leaves.

On the palate there are notes of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, red currant, cola, clove, mushroom and damp earth.

This wine is medium bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel, medium acidity and medium fine tannins that leads into a medium+ to long red fruit licorice tinged finish. A beautifully balanced wine with lasting pleasure. Stay healthy and safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

One of the finer bottles of Burgundy reds I've had. Highly effervescent as soon as the pour into the cups started, exploding cranberries and sour plum. Roses and oak on the palate, hint of red dragon fruit. Great pairing with Southern cuisine.

Neat, flowery nose and a newborn colt’s awkwardness led an otherwise nice, strawberry-powered Gevrey Village. Sock this away for 2-3 years it’s a thoroughbred.

Early in this wine’s life but already giving up all kinds of red fruit and earthy stuff. May gain complexity over time but very happy popping this now
