Ken Wright Cellars
McCrone Vineyard Pinot Noir
Willamette Valley, Oregon, USAOur third and final bottle from an order that unfortunately felt the effects of extreme cold weather back In February. This was a bit more what I expected a 5+ vintage to be. . . Light, more ethereal, balanced flavors, and soft tannins. I still like the art on this bottle and would have this again. Just recommend not receiving a shipment with sub zero temperatures.

May 25th, 2021Like the label on this bottle. This was bottle 2 of this vintage, and both were from a winespies order that got too cold during shipment. So we are quickly drinking these. The first bottle was almost a Pinot slushee while this bottle started to reveal more of the dark berry and earth tones. Looking forward to trying the third bottle in the future and testing the flavor profile again.

Fantastic. Medium body, plum/apricot, a real melder of flavors in a meal, tremendous

Kind of a letdown. Delicious flavors and purity and clarity but it’s like the wind dies halfway through. There’s no bouquet whatsoever, you can stick your nose as deep as you want and you don’t really get much sense at all. The wind self just feels like it’s then filtered so heavily or something that the finish is short and you just don’t get the full bloom of flavors that you would expect.
