Kirkland Signature
Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Last week's theme was Kirkland brand, meaning that choosing a pair from Costco's own brand. In Korea, Costco is one of the better retailer for entry to medium price wine, as their price tag is moderate with all that crazy tax for booze. To be honest, I am never a big Chardonnay drinker as I prefer either ones with less body and more acidity or ones with more body than less acidity than chard. In addition to that, here in Korea most of white wine is Chardonnay-France, US, Chile, everywhere. No diversity. I hate it. Having said that, this one was a pleasant drink: neither oaky nor buttery, it paired well with gnocchi with bacon and rosemary sauce(with shallot, of course). 23,000KRW=$20
