Kanzler Vineyard Pinot Noir

2006 vintage. So much power. Decanted and tasted after 45 mins. Medium-heavy body STILL!! Big fruit, big oak, big everything as is the old Kosta Browne style. Things dialed down slightly in recent vintages. Showing well tho for this style and looks to do so for the next 7-8 years before dropping weight/fruit. There was enough acidity/tannic structure to propel this along throughout. 12.24.24.

This bottle brought its A game tonight. Tons of fruit and a bit of damp earth on the nose. I get a great note of cola, more round cherry notes, some truffle and a great hint of spice.

2006 Vintage. Wonderful cherry/blueberry fruit and sassafras. Silky texture. Lingering finish. Just a beautiful 10 year old Pinot. I almost brought this to the Kosta Browne dinner at Grace Restaurant. Wish I had done so. Is there a better vineyard than Kanzler for Pinot? Sort of on a KB kick as of late. Indulge me.

Luscious mature black cherry touch of molasses with enough tannins and acidity to carry the finish love it 2006 vintage

This has held up beautifully--aromas of cherries and roasted nuts; dark cherries, boysenberry and a hint of cocoa on the palate.
