A tasting of nine 2012 Sonoma Coast Pinots. Found the Kutch to be a bit too tannic/astringent for my taste. We thought maybe it was due to stemminess from whole cluster but haven’t tracked this down yet. Stay tuned.

Full compliment of red/purple/black fruits. Tart cherries to start and finishes w a brambly darkness that is amazing. Great job jamie.

Nearly two hours and still opening, evolving even, gaining aroma, texture, depth, flavor, and finish. Even a few savory notes on the finish. Nice treat. 13.2 abv. (Ignore the buy price. Not that pricey.)

Pomegranates and cherry. A tough act to follow some of the other big names tonight. Still extracted but with great acidity and low alcohol.

Great intro to Jamie Kutch's style, drinks incredibly well now but this will be awesome in a few years. @mike pobega

I can see this getting better, pretty tight right now but shows good promise. Floral and red berry notes, some earthy stem notes. Good tension, medium bodied, grip on the palate and good acidity. @jamiekutch #kutch #2012 #ipob #pinotnoir
