L.A. Cetto
Private Reserve Barrel Aged Nebbiolo
Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico
Interesting Nebbiolo from Mexico. Much darker than it's Italian cousins usually are. It still has some of that Nebbiolo character but doesn't quite have that expressive complex nose that I love about Barolos and Barbarescos.

Black cherries and plums. Tannins and a long finish.

So a Nebbiolo from Mexico ? I swear I'm on another planet. Big fruit. Not as acidic. Nice wine..

Well I don't know why I keep hoping that the wine from Mexico's Baja will be as good a "fair" SCali vintage- But this was not the case here. Certainly not even close to Piedmont region! But no one else makes great Tequila so its all even in my books! As I can't stand Grappa!
