Vintage 2015 elegance, much future, laurel, cedar, good concentration

Whelan's tasting, medium bodied, left bank, structure, berries, red and black, hint of plums VG €29

NOSE: a little sharp and yeasty … cherry and plum in the background. A little fragrant wood. Not promising.

TASTE: good, but not as good as I hoped. Medium weight and a little thin, some red fruit and stone and that’s about it. Oh well. 88-89.

Juillet 2020 - Agréable à boire. Manque un peu de structure tout de même. Acheté 17€ chez un caviste, un peu trop cher à mon sens.

Nettles and raspberries on the nose. Very tart on the front. Light tannic structure—i.e kinda watery. Silky high notes on the end. Not my cup of Bordeaux.

T: bricky, cherry aroma, good balance of tannins. Fruit forward. Great, not a crappy wine.
D: very dark garnet, cherry aroma, light leathery and brick notes.
