Weird and wild, murky fruit juice. I think the store had trouble selling this (we’re on Long Island this week) and I probably shouldn’t be drinking a 4 year old vintage. Fruit is wild and brambly mixed berries, and it’s sorta tastes like some are underripe and green, some are to the point of rot. I like the spirit and have enjoyed La Clarine’s other cuvées so I think this is just a couple years too late. That all being said, it’s still a pretty enjoyable chilled chugger.

There are some positive recent reviews for this wine on Delectable, so perhaps I’ve got an off bottle, but this was an infected natural wine gone horribly bad.
