Landgraf von Hessen is now known as Prinz von Hessen, but the estate is the same. Bone-dry, sleek and saline, it cries out for smoked salmon or even a soft cheese. Drink now. It won't improve. #LandgrafvonHessen #PrinzvonHessen #1989 #Riesling #Kabinett

Great steely gold, as if reflected in the light of an early spring. Nose of white roses, lyche peel, and gooseberries. A bit thin on the palate but it survived a week under the vacuum pump so it's got stamina! Would be great with grilled prawns on the skin and freshly made mayonnaise on a barge in Oslo at the hight of summer!
