Much preferred this to the Dana Hershey Vyd. This at least had a character that seems to be derived from grapes. Firmer and with a more persistent finish that seems to vide well for this to start showing aromatic complexity with additional bottle age.

I have been down on Napa of late, but this is what Napa needs more of. Acidity, balance, freshness and purity. Not surprising this is made by the hand of @Dan Petroski. Add Larkmead to your Napa list if you like Napa Cabernet or have moved on but still have great memories of enjoying Napa Cabernet.
The color is a deep red with lighter ruby red edges. The nose is left bank Bordeaux like with currants, lead pencil, some cherry, and a streak of minerality. The palate is perfectly balanced with precision and a seamless length that expresses the beauty, elegance and depth that Cabernet Sauvignon can achieve in Napa. #larkmead #napa

May 24th, 2020Amazing blend - 66% CS, 33% CF. Velvety texture, intense fruit but more old world than most Napa Cabs. If you have the 2012 drink it now - its drinking amazing now.

Nice wine. Blackberry, creosote, and graphite. Plenty of life left ahead of it.
