2020 opened Oct 2025. This is a smooth well-balanced wine one would serve guests who lack adventurous palates. Briars and a hint of lavender on the nose. Black cherries—slightly under-ripe—on the front. Nothing but silky smooth tannins going down, until I caught a faint hint of calcaire on the finish. I require that a wine be somewhat more complex and challenging to my palate, but it’s very pleasant and drinkable

2016 vintage. I want to give this wine a higher rating, because Law puts out some wonderful wines, but I’m afraid this is far from their best. cherries and rhubarb on the nose. Cherries and currents on the front of the palate and on the middle palate. And its velvety tannic structure does nothing to counter-balance the fruitiness of this wine. The finish is as brief as an ex-lover’s goodbye kiss, with just a hint—only a hint—of the marvelous limestone terroir of the of the Law Family Vineyards. If this wine were kosher it could compete successfully against Manischewitz.
