Jun 24th, 2018I’ve been anticipating my first #chinon taste. This wine started out tight - right after pouring you get a pronounced meaty nose which opens up to floral and subtle vegetal notes and laid back dark fruit. Plenty of acidity on the palate, reserved red fruit, leather, dried violets finishing with structured tannins. Fantastic wine to have with food, but also delicious by itself.

Jun 24th, 2019Cork pop was pretty straight forward: Black fruit and raisin. After 45 minutes in the decanter it gave way to some wonderful day old tobacco and a slight leather note. Very enjoyable would buy again.

Apr 20th, 2018Floral nose mixed with cellar dust
Light and tart when it first hits your tongue, changing to moist tobacco and sharp berry fruit. Copious amounts of tomato stalk.
Young, this needs a couple of years to mellow.
I admit, I get a bit excited around cab franc, and lose my patience.
