A wonderfully balanced chenin Blanc. Herbaceous and fruity. Muted nose, but intense acidity on the palate. Grassy and pleasant. Actually a relief after too many overblown chenin’s lately. Really delightful!

When I first tried this at a tasting I definitely enjoyed it, but when I opened it (probably a few months after purchasing) and had it alone, and then with oysters. It just seemed to fall flat. Perhaps there is something off with this bottle as there is a hint of oxidation on the nose, but all the acidity has completely fallen off. There's a nice key lime note and flinty mineral, but other than that pretty bland.

Not terribly aromatic but ripe and powerful with tons of acid and citrus on the palate. Stood up well to oily fish. Had with Andy and tabor

Pretty solid Montlouis-sur-Loire. More on the lean, minerally side of Chenin. Pours a medium (-) straw-gold hue. Moderate concentration of aromatics of tart green apple and key lime, underripe nectarine, an almost smoky crushed flint minerality, white floral character, some subtle Parmigiano rind leesy character, and a bit of anise and chamomile. On the palate the wine has laserlike focus and plenty of cut, and in terms of flavor is almost identical to the nose, with plenty of tart fruit and mineral verve. High acid, dry, light to medium (-) body but with a nice oily texture from lees. Really would love this with a bright seafood dish or maybe even some oysters.
