Left Foot Charley
Old Mission Peninsula Blaufränkisch
Enjoyed a previous vintage at Grange in Ann Arbor; this one also pleasing. Good structure; feels oaky but aged in neutral oak so I'd chalk some of that up to Blaufrankisch spice. Curious to see what it does in a couple years.

Jun 5th, 2015Tasting this blind I don't think many would think this was a wine from the US let alone Michigan. Light colored with good acidity and sour berries. More like a tasty French Gamay than a typical Blaufrankisch. A fun experiment if you're willing to pay for it.

Aug 6th, 2015Love this! My favorite red from Michigan yet. Robust, peppery, medium-body. Begging for hearty/earthy salads. Would be a nice fall wine.
