Valle d'Aosta Fumin

A bit of a different profile from prior vintages. Much more plush, juicy and fruit forward. (Warmer/riper vintage?) Dark Ruby red/purple color. More fruit forward aromas and flavors of dark cherry, black raspberry, vanilla, fresh herbs, tobacco, graphite and a slight hint of pine needles. Touch of black licorice on the long and lingering finish. Soft tannins. Very deep and complex. Consistently great mountain red.
