Russian River Valley Zinfandel

Please help! Ladies and gentlemen of the Vine, my recent wine choices have left me incredibly unhappy. I was hoping for a beautiful date with Zinfandel tonight and Zin really disappointed me. The Limerick Lane has some high and low notes, and was missing everything in between. Nothing to chew on, no spice and no love.

Lots of age on this one - from their library, tried on a whim! Black pepper has become softened with age. Med-high alcohol, acids.

Really great fruit. Could use some more spice and less heat but let’s see what day two brings. Very fine and sexy finish now.

So this is my first wine from this producer. The nose is jammmmmy but it mellows and is great on the palate. Some pepper notes but the fruit dominates. Near perfect pairing for smoked BBQ ribs on the Big Green Egg. Great end to Sunday funday. Cheers🍷

This has really come a long way from a year ago. Not as lively as the 12 but it's on a good path.

Dark fruit and spice full bodied but not overly big and couldn't tell it was 15+ abv

Sampling the goods early to compare to be prior vintage. The extra year will do this well. It's young.

Needs time but has good potential
