Got hit twice with the oak stick. That said, actually tastes like Pinot and is a crowd pleaser. Pretty good QPR at $16.

1 person found it helpfulOct 2nd, 2014We had a regional blind wine tasting of Pinot Noir tonight. I was assigned California, but the trick was bottles could only be about $20 each. Thanks to a sale, I picked this up for $24 (totally new to me!) and it won!!! (It beat out Burgundy, Oregon, New Zealand and Chili!) Fuller bodied with an interesting thread of minerality going through. More earth than fruit, too.

Dec 6th, 2015More oak than fruit by a long shot. Perfect example of why you gotta shop with caution for Calif Pinot Noir in the east coast. This is just bad wine with a good zip code.
