Not my favorite, medium bodied, poorly spiced, unappealing

Another fancy art label from Lo Nuevo. This is dark wine. This is fruity smelling wine. This is high alcohol wine. And the flavors are right on par with all that this wine is. Big fruit. Streaks of bitter. Dark flower essences like violets and roses. (Like eating a rose petal). The intense fruit and tannin keeps it from being intriguing enough to seem grand or fantastico, but it’s nice dry, composed Spanish red. A bit more finesse and a bit less bombast and this would be epic.

A bit too much fruit, but still an easy to drink red wine.

We like this under $20. Bottle. Good nose, medium start, plum and raisin middle, level dry finish.
