Wow... Just wow. Hats off to Mr. Carpenter. Elegant, almost steadfast in saying, "I'm mountain Cabernet" without blowing my face off.

Beautiful vintage for Lokoya, the 2002 exudes opulence and power, with a concentrated robe tinged with dark purple and Alizarine crimson. Blueberry cobbler, violet, and black currant notes on the nose. On entry, it's a big, glossy wine with fine, caressing, slightly dusty tannins. Finishes with dark chocolate, crème de menthe and and black cherry. Stunning.

Inky with layer after later of evolving fruit. Continued to open up.
