Clos Saint Jacques Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Pinot Noir

This wine tastes like a South African Pinotage. It smells pretty good. I’m getting some mint, black licorice, and cranberry aromas from this bottle. Flavors of tart cranberries and herbs. It’s a refreshing summer red wine. This bottle is showing a lot better than the last one I opened. Unfortunately the 11 vintage will never be great. Tasted 7/13/20

Solid bottle.

We opened this wine about 20 years too early. It's huge! And needs about an hour of decanting before its nearly not ready. We also opened a lot of Jadot and Zind

Big and tight when opened. Developed nicely after an hour of air.

Late release from winery. Lovely Gevery!

Dark rubi robe, aromas of dark berries, crushed flowers and a hint of cinnamon. Brood and rich body but very complex too. This is great stuff and requires 5 years more to show its best. Enthusiastically recommended.

Took an hr in glass to open up. Fantastic fruit, balance. Will wait another 3-5yrs
