Louis Jadot
Givry Pinot Noir

House of Louis Jadot has been producing Burgundy wines since its founding in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. Givry vines are situated around the village of Givry, between Mercurey and Montagny. Ruby with aromas of sweet red fruits and a touch of spice. On the palate rich cherry fruit, tending towards jammy, fresh, savory, good balance. Soft tannins, lingering ending with lively fruit. Nice!

Had next to 2017 Domaine de la Fertè Givry “Clos de Mortiéres”. Both were slightly more masculine, with noticeable spice and red+dark fruit with a crunchiness to the fruit.

Jul 26th, 2019Rustic & authentic with brambly tart berries and a bit of earthy & vegetable notes. Nice tannic grip. An honest version of PN w/o the esthetics. Good with food.
