Lujon Wine Cellars
Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Loads of dark cassis and blackberry along with smoky graphite, iodine, and black olive on the nose. Mouthfilling and concentrated yet not blocky, it’s pretty chiseled and has zingy acids. Flavors have some dark fruit but come in more on the olivey savory side. Lengthy finish with lots of tannin that still needs to resolve, this wine has the balance and structure to age and improve for several more years yet is really enjoyable now.

Mar 23rd, 2021The nose of a cooling blackberry pie on a windows ledge.
This has heft, and you can tell the love that went into this. All the dark berries, yet in the brighter side - elegant, I wish I had bought a case. So, so good. Tangy lip smacking acidity with tannin overtures.

2015- strong raspberry, followed by dark cherry. Strong but smooth tannins.

Jul 1st, 2021I had pretty modest expectations and this one frankly shocked me at how good it turned out to be. Right off the bat, luscious blackberry, smooth tannins and surprising complexity and length for a $25 Cab, and for which I paid less. This could easily become a house wine. Lucy approves!

Jan 29th, 2019Great pqr. Hard to beat for $17. Blueberry, plum, vanilla, and leather. There is also a bit of tart cranberry on the mid palate.
This is from the Oregon side of Walla Walla.
