Ultraviolet in the glass with a nose of raspberry, cherry, earthy minerals and saline. The palate is full bodied carnal adventure in the Cote de Nuits bringing polished silky red fruit. Red currant, raspberry, tart cherry all riding on a chalky underbelly of gravel, forest floor and cigar box. The finish rides a sea breeze of salinity and supple tannins.

Great floral rose petal persona to open followed by a lively tone of cherry, raspberry and red currant. Lots of fruit for a burgundy and one that’s 15 years old. Rich, sweet, tart flavors that layer the mouth with animal, rock and chalk. All in a silky tannin palate.

A bit faint, but opened up over 4 hours in the decanter.
