Lo! Bretty Normandy!! Butterscotch n'almond skins. Lingers heavy, and so glad for it.

Loaded with Brett but not like a Hipster sour beer brewer purposely adding Brett but a 3rd generation Normandy cider making family using the same old barrels Brett. Pretty interesting and funky. I'm liking it more and more as I drink it.

The winner in a small, informal cider tasting against four other (mostly) French ciders. A bit musty. Brings to mind French cider makers using hay between layers of apples in their presses. Lots of peel aromatics and a moderate amount of residual sugar. That semi-sweetness may be due to keeving, which while traditional to Normandy, is just a guess. Still, it doesn’t taste anything like most back-sweetened ciders. Curious to see how this compares to Eric Bordelet.

Sep 24th, 2016Pours golden with plenty of bubbles and a lovely Brett notes in the nose. Good sour apple flavor with the right balance of sweet/tart/funk. Pretty subtle cider for those that love their Normandies.

Overwhelmed by baby poo that matures to band-aids. This is a Brett monster.
