2019 opened March 2022. Blackberries and a hint of violets on the nose. Instead of fruit on the front, I get a tongue full of soft tannins with an amusing dollop of astringency. These tannins do not carry through to the rest of the composition. They transition on the mid-palate to a lighter tannic structure. Subtle hints of loam on the finish. This is a gentle wine.
