Wine is incredibly dark and brooding. Very dense and heavy taste and texture right out of the bottle.
Drank over about 3 hours. Oxygen was this wines friend and the wine opened up quite a bit to reveal more bright and red fruit to complement the black fruit and density which also gave way as it breathed.
Not a blockbuster from a complexity perspective and lacked the punch of something special. But a solid oakville cab nonetheless and not too oaky. — 2 months ago
Classic CDP. Bright fruit, mellow tannins. And that certain chewiness that screams for a steak dinner. Hints of crushed pepper. Very balanced. — 4 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 14% Petit Verdot, aged in 40% new French oak, deep Ruby red with aromas of red and black fruits with oaky spice. On the palate flavors of black raspberry, currants and black cherry with licorice, toasty oak and tobacco. Fine lush tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak and earthy tobacco spice. Drinking well now and will continue to develop! — 4 days ago
