Not called Baroness anymore this mid level HB 2025 vintage is exploding out of the glass. Took a minute to get my bearings instead of restraint and editing it’s a full out cabaret of a wine with lively melon gooseberries and passion fruit on an edgy substrate of salinity and limestone. Went incredibly well with prosciutto and honeydew. Once I adjusted I found it magnificent. — 2 months ago
This 2024 got lost in a bigger tasting. Now on its own at home it’s showing its subtle springtime beauty. First of the year wild strawberries sprinkled with dried herbs. And a dash of black pepper. Very picnic food friendly. — 2 months ago
Had this 25 at the Portsmouth fireworks with some fruits cheeses and an abruzzan salami. Nicely balanced, bright fruits with a note of brine. — 6 days ago
Having this 2016 from a cellar purchase with some spicy Chinese shrimp and chicken and is perfectly paired. Classic petrol aroma with peachy sorbet quince jam and candied lemon peel. Very nice — a month ago
Julia brought right from this gorgeous vineyard. Ultra elegant stony lean restrained and nervous with lengthy underripe stone fruits and white pepper. Perfect with Camembert. — 2 months ago
Tasted this 2023 without food and liked it but had trouble with its acidity and austerity. Then later had it with a Lasagna and it was perfect. The acidity mellowed with aeration and its delicate herbal qualities came through. Light bodied ruby colored, — 3 months ago
2023 at a picnic in Mohican State park chilled, perfect casual food wine with gorgeous tart fruit and black stones, refreshing simple. — 13 days ago
Having this 1996 in 2926 just for the heck of it on Memorial Day with a grilled ribeye and rosemary. Potatoes, it’s still surprisingly alive with deep leather, some hint of Bret, and plums and dark berries. Tastes like one of the first aged Bordeaux I ever had many years ago, not sublime but funkily pleasant — a month ago
Directly from South Africa from Julia. Deep kitsch cherry fruit with a grilled meat aroma. Nothing delicate here. Plums 5 spice, hint of orange. Will stand up to big meats. — 2 months ago

This 2024 is everything that I look for in a cdr. Herbs throughout, soft fresh berry fruits with a dark stony spine. Lighter bodied and endlessly interesting. Viva La France — 13 hours ago
