Wow! Getting past the 17.1% abv and the fact that this looks more like a Pinot in the glass than a Zin (seriously!) this is one amazing wine. Beautiful fruit, spice and mouthfeel. And despite the high alcohol it didn't seem hot or muted at all!

Thank you Martinelli Family. I came across my first corked bottle of Zin this past December. Since I share buying your wines with Cliff M. He wrote and talked to you about this rare happening. Well what happened? They sent a replacement bottle from there Library! Class Act they are! This wine blew me away. Loaded with rich Berry fruit and what a mouthfeel . How do they do it year after year! CB says 97+. Awesome Juice. Thanks again Martinelli's !!

Feb 7th, 2015The 17.1 alcohol doesn't come into play at all unless you drank the entire bottle. Pure Fruit nice concentration of black fruits. Opened up after 30 minutes. I didn't want this wine to end ! Awesome expression for Zinfandel! I know people might say No Way but CB 100!!! This is a Big Statement my first of 2015.

This Zin is a beast. Strawberry and raisin rum cake to the nose. Spicy and elocuente. I mean a lot going on in the mouth. Lingers with many different notes. And it's already evolving.
