Rusty, dusty maroon. Pretty classic color. Smells like wood, spices, licorice and good blackberry jam. Oh and wine. Smells winey. Like a wine cellar smells. Flavors are smooth and less tannic than expected. Tastes like cherry and berry sauce meets a nice fruit licorice from Australia or Holland. Also tomato and tobacco leaves. Balanced and complete. This is a very drinkable and enjoyable Central Valley Cab at a nice price.
