Well, it's one of those memorable wine : silky, velvety tannins. Acidity and alcohol just at the right balance. Red fruits, pepper and violet all beautifully integrated.
Amazing for a 2009 cote-rotie !

Glass full of bacon fat, salumi, earth, black pepper, dried herbs/flowers and rich red/black fruits. Balanced acidity, round tannins, med alcohol. Power, grace, an absolute lovely wine for a multi-course meal. Anniversary splurge!
