Jul 23rd, 2021Probably would have been better with a decant but opened this to replace a corked wine and so it goes. 13.5% Napa cab. Always appreciate the matthiasson style with wines like this. Velvety with deep red and purple fruit. Great acid and a nice finish. Quite a lot of sediment.

Oct 18th, 2017r. @ Bistro jeanty in yountville. Still very young. Like a young Bordeaux. Excellent acidity, bright blue and black fruits, with still pretty crisp but not at all astringent tannins. Pop and pour. Definitely a decant is in order. Opened up nicely over the course of the meal. Really quite delicious.
