Matthiasson
Phoenix Vineyard Chardonnay
One and only vintage of this, which is too bad. Rounded and complex but with enough balancing acidity.

Dec 18th, 2022Lovely gold color. Apples and minerality on the nose. Same on the palate with great depth. Medium plus finish. Nice fruit balanced with acidity. Very good!

Oct 27th, 2024I believe this was only made in 2017. Too bad as it’s fantastic, especially with 7 years of age. The time has tamed any oak and so you are left with great round body with real depth that suggests oak aging but doesn’t smack you with it. Lovely acids. Really nice.

Sep 20th, 2024Solid Chard. Lots of metallic components with apples and bright pears. Medium depth and finish. More acidity than I was expecting.

Sep 7th, 2024Darker gold color. Amazing nose, could smell the empty glass all night long. Minerality, melons, a touch of lemon, and butter on the nose and palate. Complex wine with decent acidity. Enjoyed it!
