First encounter with Muristellu, a Sardinian red variety believed to be the Spanish variety of Graciano. This version is a lively natural wine imbued with deep purple which fades to ruby reminiscent of Syrah. Lovely nose of earth and tobacco with a touch of reductive herbaceous elements. Explodes on the palate with fresh ripe red fruit, eucalyptus and acid that glides into soft tannin. A touch hot for my taste (@14%), but a lovely pizza night wine.
