This Bobal kind of reminds me of a big, muscular left bank Bordeaux. Saturated color. Nose has lots of graphite, cassis, elderberry, and dried twigs and leaves. Dense, but in a lean and muscular way that avoids any jamminess. Dark cassis and crushed rock are the main components. Bone dry and with very good acids. Tannins are present but reasonably soft. Will be better in a couple of years but nice now too. — 2 years ago
Pretty tannic, but balanced, leather dark fruit, cream cheese note on the nose (lactic acid?), good cooking spices too. Mid bodied. — 7 months ago
Nicely made and exuding character. Nose has bright, deep plummy fruit, along with nice, fragrant spice and a wisp of smoke. Mouthfilling, pure fruit on the palate, with a light touch, finish turns savory and shows lots of stony minerality. Nice acids and a bit of soft, chalky tannin comes out at the end. Terrific value. — 3 years ago
Warm and rich. Very interesting. Fruit notes, but not too sweet — 8 months ago
Dark. Deep, earthy, terroir. Dark, dark fruit but it's not driving the bus. — 9 months ago
Bitter middle at first, but give it some time to breathe and it will relax. Amazing fragrance. Really great, dark, super unique — 2 years ago
Delicious and versatile red. Perfect with mushroom pasta, but light enough to drink alone. Picked this up at Eataly, where it was advertised as a staff pick. Let’s just say the staff has great taste!! — 3 years ago
