Best SB I've had in 2016.

51% Cab Franc, 49% Merlot
Referred to as “The Beast” since it still tastes so young and will drink well for another 15-20 years. Tasted with the 2018 and seemed “younger” than the 2018.

Won't score this because of how deep into the wedding it was opened. Powerful and rich wine with good earth, mineral notes

51% CF & 49% ME.

Guessed northern Rhône. Great wine

A fantastic example of a Napa version of a right Bank wine. Grapes are from Knights Valley in Napa. Aromas of sweet tobacco, blue fruit and some floral hints. This wine feels silky smooth in your mouth with sleek tannins. Beautiful tastes of blueberries, currants, plums and a little licorice. Beautiful acidity and a long tasty finish.

Nice Cab franc, I'll do a side by side with the Patria & Leviathan with my last bottle.
Parker 98, said it was Californias version of a Cheval Blanc. I wouldn't know, I've never had a Cheval Blanc
