2022 vintage. A mature, smooth, complex CS — 14 days ago
Lead pencil, veg, spice cedar combo and some dark plums on the nose. The taste had some plums and a bit of veg. The finish was okay but a bit short. Overall a great wine and my last 2016 and now on to the 2017s. — a month ago

Red and black fruit, leathery tannins. — 3 days ago
After breathing, smooth with some body but a little more tart than we prefer for a cab. — 21 days ago

Lovely with a long decant — 17 hours ago
2021 vintage. Pleasant throughout and hit plenty of notes without screeching. The KB style has changed in the last few years. Gone are the mega-extracted pinots altho those are still around and holding up in the cellars/secondary market. Those older wines were a 10 on the volume scale. The last few vintages are closer to a 5. That said, this should hold up and develop nicely for a decade+ without issues. Those that don't think you can drink CA pinot noir over 4-5 years old are in for quite the surprise with quality producers. 04.18.25. — a month ago

1996 vintage. 6% Cab Franc but 50+% Cab and remaining % Merlot. Last tasted 9.29.24 (9.5) and 8.2.24 (9.6). This specimen nice fill and halfway saturated cork. Decanted and throwing appropriate sed. Tasted 30 mins post-decant. Light-medium body. Dark cherry and milk chocolate nose. Cocoa powder and chocolate-covered cherry in the flavors. Tannins primarily on the back palate. More than holding up and getting by. This has a few more years afoot. Gonna say it again for those in the back…this is the best wine they’ve ever made-white or red.
