14 drinking near peak of mature brightness and silky tannins - really balanced front to back...I really love Melville! I think it’s the most underrated winery in the US likely! Really expressive and nice pure fruit!

Ripe red fruit, earthy with herbal complexity and notable tannin structure; very likely significant stem inclusion. This has all the right pieces, but probably could have used another year in bottle to come together.

Aug 8th, 2020After Jim’s post of the ‘12, I figured I would try one of the ‘14’s. Good choice. Very earthy and fruity with that characteristic Melville lip smacking spice that makes their Pinot’s so special. This one is drinking well right now.

Took some time to open ip, but then was quite good. Probably needs a coupke of more years to really sing.

Typical light red Pinot color, licorice on the nose and black berry and peppery finish. What I didn't appreciate about this wine the bitter finish.
