Interesting Rhône Blend from Michael and David Phillips.
The Lodi winemakers always surprise you by the balance of their wines despite their high alcohol contact.
Drank with grilled mutton chops with herbs in olive oil.
A good match. Surprising complexity for a central valley product.

Tastes like blueberry pie (!!!), but with good complexity and acidity to balance the fruit and the oak. Big fan! Blend contains everything but the kitchen sink including some grapes I didn't know (Souzao...).

Oct 10th, 2015What a great week!!! Now I get to cap it off with another great Red from @MDWinery. Red fruit, cherry, and vanilla nose. Medium body and a smooth finish. #yegwine
