Still studying up on the Priorat wines of Spain. This one is great all around. Deep color, smooth texture, subtle tannins, medium fruit and a long finish. Great with the rich Iberico ham.

Expressive Priorat Red Blend (Garnacha, Carignan and Syrah). Aromas of ripe black fruit and purple flowers. Intense dark and black fruit flavors with dried herb, black olive and leather notes. Toasty oaky spice on the luxurious and charming finish. Not the powerhouse the dark color leads you to expect. Tannins are light and luxurious. There is medium plus acidity as well. Opulent and elegant.

Cedar on the nose. Smooth. Rich dark fruits. Paired well with tapas and pork. A bit high on the ABV at 14.5%.

Great for Priorat (for someone like me who isn’t the biggest fan of Priorat and prefers wine from Penedes).
