2013 vintage; grape is called Ruché Castagnole Monferrato grown north of Barolo. Small percentage of grapes (5%) are dried before pressed, like appassiemento, and rest are harvested late. Quite viscous with red brick color of light intensity; interesting intense nose of dark dried fruits and raspberries; same fruits in the mouth with added silky tannins, liquorice, acidity and long finish. Me likey!

Smoky, dark, and aromatic, completely full of flavor. A treat.
