Off the cork, I loved. There’s some earth in there, which I loved, but as this opened up, it got a little more floral and a little more sweet… so I pulled back my rating a touch.
Strong fruit upfront with a little spicy clove and firm tannins. Then a floral nose and sweet finish.

Super interesting. Roche likes to be super ripe and this is no exception. Fun wine. — 3 months ago
Used it mostly for a sauce the other night, but three days in fridge it is still pretty great. Best with slight chill. — 4 months ago

Delicious! Medium-bodied Italian. — 3 months ago
Musty (in a good way) nose. Med to bold body. Pepper, strawberry/prune palate. 1 litre . A Joe Godas selection — 3 months ago
Been a minute since I rated anything. This is wonderful. Deliciously acidic that gives way to subtle earthiness and a decent amount of tanin for a barbera. Had on NYE with Calabrian meatballs — 5 months ago
Medium-dark ruby hue. Aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, cassis, leather, sage. Plus body, plus tannins, and plus acid - but otherwise smooth and beautifully balanced on the palate. 60% Barbera, 40% Syrah. — 10 months ago

The nose is vibrant and inviting, with bright red fruits woven with hints of baking spice, dried thyme, and a touch of bramble. The palate shows a darker, earthier profile than the fragrant bouquet suggests, yet the fruit remains intense and lively. Tannins are supple but persistent, lending a juicy, grippy texture that lingers.
Lovely Nebbiolo/Barbera blend. — 9 days ago
