May 8th, 2022Classic old Californian Cab nose of that overripe yet earthy plum notes. A touch of sweetness on the palate with a long finish. All tertiary. Thought was dead but had a few steps left to show off. Needed time to open up despite the age. AA 14 deal and no info on vineyard. Montclair Winery. Kreck Vineyard. 13.1 ABV. 80 Cab 20 Merlot. Perfect pairing for Christmas dinner with Andrew’s brisket (Guy recipe) slaw and Evan’s sweet potato casserole.
