My snowboarding bud just opened a pizza joint in Montclair, NJ. Making dough from scratch and serving it quick, and the quality!!!
SugarShack became the pizza’s perfect foil. Lovely butterscotch notes on the nose transitioned to citrus notes on the mid palate. Just enough acid to caress the Italian mozzarella. I love the moderate sweetness this wine possesses. Overall, another excellent example. — 7 months ago
Mixed spice on the nose transitions to honeydew melon and roasted nuts and elderflower. Possesses depth and texture with moderate acidity. Nice lengthy finish. Loving this…

Get some of this direct from the winery. For the loot, one of the very best Cali SB’s out there…

I read like a broken record. My prior notes apply. Excellent, contemporary example of the varietal. Bivio Pizzeria, Montclair, NJ. — 7 months ago
We love this stuff. Never gets old.
Really deserves a higher rating. Wifey went to 96!!!

This is holding up surprisingly well. Nose present roasted pineapple, rosemary and hints of bread. Palette is balanced and restrained. Sweet notes and soft acidity caress the mid palate. Glorious combination with outstanding pizza. Bivio, Montclair. — 4 months ago
Poured on Valentine’s Day with a skirt steak and roasted veggies Israeli style with tahini. Smooth. Zero bite for 14.7% alcohol which does hit the nose. Unfortunately didn’t hold after 40 minutes which hurt its score. Started 9.2 and ended 8.8. Montclair NJ. — 2 years ago
Grafs family minus K visit (Ho left) mom BD 5/7/22. Cab lineup through the decades. As previous. As with the’69 Martini it went well with grilled salmon. Hsing’s pick on 5/9 though it had faded a bit and the hint of sweetness had mostly disappeared. — 3 years ago

Visited the winery approx. 4 years ago - our fave Italian producer.
While it requires further bottle development, its pedigree is shining. A more traditional presentation which displays olives, spice box and overripe plums. Moderate tannins are tucked in with soft acidity. You’re tasting the terroir and wine making skills here. No “construction” required. Excellent.
