Why waste time with Merlot or cab? Chianti Classico in the very best way. Michele is providing a standard for the region. The wines are classic , nuanced and sublime

Notes of cherry, macerated strawberry, a touch of balsamic, smoke, incense and some noticeable leather. Very balanced in the mouth it is bold but not over the top. Very long finish.

First of all, go to Coquinarius in Florence. Nicola is a killer wine guy and friend. We had this our third and last time there (we were only in Florence for 3 days too...). This is still in a youthful and fruit-driven stage, with juicy and expressive sour cherries and a touch of orange peel. Score is for drinking now, but the structure and impression of density in the flavors make me want to check-in again at the 10 yr mark.
