No formal notes , just impressions this evening . This is a bit more intense and fruit driven on the nose , dark cherry, red plums with some of the spice, pine and liquorice notes . In the mouth more tannic , also intense and quite powerful. Very different in style to the Il Campitello , more rustic perhaps , reminds me of the CC in that regard, and will need more time than the others . Gritty tannins and fresh acidity but good intensity and decent length . Doesn’t have the elegance of the Il Campitello , but is more powerful and will probably be longer lived . Needs another 5 years , will last well a further 15 . — 2 months ago

Mineral driven with a some fruit on the back, weighty, fresh, a touch of funk.

No formal notes just impressions this evening . Really elegant and precise , with lovely fine tannins and fresh yet balanced , refined acidity. The fruit here is a little darker than the basic CC , darker cherry , more spice and a little anise hint . Long and detailed on the palate , this is drinking surprisingly well , though will age gracefully over the next 10 years or so . Even though this is refined and elegant there is no lack of body or intensity here . Really lovely this evening . — 2 months ago
